Irbema chooses BlueUp for its Bluetooth Low Energy indoor tracking and tracing devices that are characterised by long battery life and easy maintenance.

BlueUp is pleased to announce its new partnership with Irbema Srl. The company, which has been active for 35 years and is a reference point throughout Italy for value-added distribution of solutions and services in the ICT market, has chosen BlueUp for its indoor localisation solutions.

In response to the growing need for greater safety in the workplace, Irbema proposes systems to protect the isolated workers with indoor localisation capabilities. The scalable technology, adaptable to any sector, provides a Bluetooth Low Energy beacon (BLE) compatible devices man down of the brand TWIG.

"By marketing premium quality security systems, we only choose partners of recognised reliability"., explains Gianmarco Celtana, General Manager of Irbema. "Increasingly, our customers require us to be able to intervene quickly and accurately following a personal alarm. To enable this level of efficiency, we need advanced indoor localisation technologies that rely on an infrastructure of beacons capable of accurately transmitting their identity, equipped with a long-life battery and characterised by simple maintenance. For all these reasons, after a careful analysis of the market, we tested and chose the BLE beacons produced in Italy by BlueUp and offered them in our price list.

"In the field of worker safety, nothing can ever be taken for granted. The worker must be able to feel protected at all times and in whatever environment he or she is working.
In this respect, Bluetooth LE technology is of paramount importance: thanks to Bluetooth LE beacons, it is possible to locate the worker with a personal mobile device even in the most remote areas, where GPS signal is not present or is unreliable'.
According to Alessio Cucini, CEO of BlueUp "BlueUp's BlueBeacon series has helped make Irbema's already excellent security systems even more accurate and reliable. But this is only the starting point, not the end. The field of safety at work is so delicate and complex that every day we face new challenges and strive to overcome them in the best possible way, constantly investing in R&D for new products and innovative solutions'.
