Requirement
At the Anni Azzurri Polo Geriatrico Riabilitativo Residence in Milan, a KOS Group facility, the management of disoriented patients requires reliable, discreet technological solutions that are perfectly integrated into care processes. For this project, our partner TECNEL has developed access control system aimed at preventing unauthorised exits from the facility's sensitive areas.
Solution
The solution is based on Neat devices, including the identification bracelet SMILE ID worn by the guests, and the checkpoint marker TREX 2G.
The heart of the access control system, however, is made up of a series of specific devices: the’D-POS II control unit, dedicated to the management of passages and alarms, the’Antenna D-POS-ANT in ferrite, designed for the monitoring of small-sized openings, the system Local optical-acoustic signalling with
LED lamp and integrated buzzer, along with their respective support and power elements.
Using these components, TECNEL has designed and assembled a complete access control kit, integrating it within its own technological architecture to ensure coordinated and centralised event management.
When a guest with a SMILE ID wristband approaches a monitored gate, the system automatically detects their presence and activates an immediate alert. Control can be temporarily suspended on specific gates in case of authorised passages, while still maintaining centralised supervision.
A key element of the project is integration with the server INFORMO IP 3.0 at TECNEL, which enables continuous monitoring of system-generated events. The platform thus created records every report and produces detailed reports, offering management a concrete tool for activity traceability,

This project represents an example of effective collaboration between a technology provider and a system integrator: the reliability of Neat devices, combined with TECNEL's design capability, has enabled the creation of a complete solution for the total protection of RSA guests.
