Initial situation:
A well-known Italian men's, women's and children's clothing shop company, with more than 1200 locations worldwide, needed to update the EVAC system. The one they had was in fact obsolete and did not comply with the EN54-16 and EN54-24 fire regulations.
Following the D.M. 27-07-2010 on fire prevention for commercial activities the company had to provide sound evacuation such as 4EVAC. In addition to this, the company was looking for a device that also had the built-in possibility of sound diffusion BGM (Back Ground Music), i.e. the possibility of playing music in the background, which is very welcome and appreciated by customers.
The company also required a system easy e fast to install and use.
The project:
The rooms of the company's various shops are of different sizes so a product was needed that was versatileto adapt to and cater for small, medium and large environments. Devices have been adopted as the solution Compact500 by 4EVAC in all its versions, i.e. the 200/400/600 W versions.
The choice of version depends on the size of the commercial space: acoustic speakers are needed every 6 metres and each one uses 10W of energy, so with a few calculations it is possible to measure how many total W are required and consequently the best version to adopt.
The simple architecture of the adopted solution requires low maintenancewhich contributes to making the system cheaper than the one previously in use. Installation is also inexpensive; it only takes about 30 minutes to get the system up and running. Finally, the small size of the Compact500 (80 x 52 x 15 cm) benefits the chain as it can easily be placed in a service room.
